Bali Travel Diary | Raving Rage Travels
Before you run out of time!
Hello Fellow People!
Finally, we are able to write a blog post about Bali trip. An awesome getaway where Aditi and I were lost in food, spas, watersports. paragliding, clubbing, coffees and much more. Never ever have we imagined that this little getaway will make us fall in love with nature and clean food. So here we are sharing with you all our Bali Travel Diary, which we call exclusively Raving Rage Travels. Hope you like it and will get inspired to visit the land of gods and much more.
Every hour spent in Bali is special and memorable to us. And like any other travel trip, we do wish to go back and relive those memories and do whatever we failed to do in a weeks time. Next time we are going to Bali for more spa treatments and yoga with the whole detoxification process to recover our lost selves. Sound fun? even if it doesn’t, try and see how this India like culture can groom your inner soul. Whatever they say about Bali it is all true. The cultural aspect of Bali is more or less alike. Have met a dozen people who love Shahrukh Khan 😀 and listen to Hindi music like we guys do. So the feel of Bali is just like “Home”.
So here it is a gist of all the things that we did and the things that you can do when you are in Bali. Have put up a small video as well for your guys to see what it was like. Enjoy it and read the blog to know more.
We visited Bali in a month of April, the weather was awesome at this time. It was sunny and not that hot, so you can wear all the sexy dresses that you want and walk down the street like it is your runway :). We landed and stayed in Kuta, Bali for the first 3 days because of the beaches around that area which are pretty awesome and cool. Nusa Dua Beach and stay at one of those resorts seems to be a better option since it was close to all the eateries and clubs, that we wanted to visit.
The first day of Bali Travel Diary began with Paragliding since we forever wanted to indulge ourselves into the flying experience and we started off perfectly, it was so beautiful, the whole 45 minutes of the adventure was thrilling and extraordinary. After that, we roamed around the city, had a long walk just enjoying the culture and streets and pop-culture shops in the neighborhood. It may seem that we did nothing but we just wanted to keep our first day simple because on the Day 2 we were knowing to experience the things that are breath-taking.
Yes, we went to a private beach for a legendary watersport experience. It started off with Breakfast then we did Kayaking for one and half hours, it was something, Aditi and I in water just by ourselves and we did learn how to paddle though so from amateurs we became Sailors 😛
Then after reaching back, a giant Donut Ride was waiting for us. We must tell you that it has been the fastest ride of my entire life, the way we jumped, bumped, flew, moved in a circle was extremely thrilling and fun. Trust me guys, it is more fun than Banana Ride. Then after this experience, our coach was waiting for us to give us training on Sea Walking and Scuba Diving, yes we were taught for 1 hour since you need to know nits and bits about everything before going underwater especially hundreds of feet down because it is very risky if don’t learn to control your moves, then God save us!
The training went well and then we were taken into a boat in the middle of the Sea and were thrown into water in a Sea walking Helmet, you can easily breathe in it and it was incredible, you can walk and feed fishes, visit Lord Ganesh and other goddess down there as they have set up everything for your for a photo session down there 🙂 I, Nikita am not a swimmer and I was scared of water for a long time but the beauty that lies within the Sea and experiencing all that with my clear eyes has made me love water more and I feel I am not that scared anymore. It was incredible. Then when we walked back up to go to the scariest thing that we ever did.
Yes, Aditi and I were ready to do Scuba Diving. We jumped and we felt it was a never-ending path, we were breathing and managing ourselves very carefully because it was no going back if anything went wrong, we had an amazing coach by our side, he has made things so easy for us, he was holding us, clicking pictures, checking on us and after a while it was not at all scary, it was incredible, breath-taking (like literally), thrilling, dangerous, and what not. But we can never forget the feeling we had when we were under the water seeing things that we never thought we ever will. It was so awesome that we want to do it again and now you can imagine how amazing it must have been.
After coming up on the boat, we felt so tired, so tired that on the whole ride to our private beach, we were quiet and it did feel like a “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” scene with the poetry :D. But this was not it, we still had the heart to do more and experience more, we did parasailing and flying fish too and it was outstanding. Then after that, we had a shower where we did try to remove all the tan that we had but it didn’t come off. We were all golden and felt like Golden girls 😛 and then we had lunch because we were feeling like hungry animals. It was awesome.
We were dead while coming back after all the hard-work and then we saw that our hotel had amazing massages and we were desperate at that time, every muscle was paining and it felt like the right time, and then we decided to go for Balinese Massage, Oh My God. We can go back in time and experience this massage over and over again. Yes, Aditi and I chose 2 hours massage, it was so awesome, so awesome that we are speechless. Bali is one of the best places of the Spa experience and we can swear this by. Loved every second of it!
We went to the mall and local shops for souvenir shopping and beaches in Nusa Dua had an amazing time, had a perfect lunch and biggest coconut water of our life, it was like we had an entire bisleri bottle at the end. We were all set to explore the best clubs in Bali, Indonesia and went to Potato Head, one of the chicest and hip places for clubbing in Bali and it was awesome, danced off until our legs couldn’t take it anymore. Had Gnoochi and had drinks, it was the best time ever!
We went to Ubud, Indonesia for a whole different cultural experience. It was a whole different experience then what we had on first 3 days, we felt calmer and in love with nature when we walked into Ubud, it has a whole vibe to it. You feel spiritual, more connected to nature, people, earth, gods. They have incredible temples. We visited Pra Tirtha Empul, one of the oldest temples in Bali and Goa Gajah, built in the 9th Century. People are so fond of this temple so much, it has Lord Ganesha Temple, Hanuman Temple, Fertility God, and so much more. People were taking dips into the holy water and everything around us was incredibly calm and in good spirit and it was a good experience.
Then we headed towards an awesome place where we got to see Live Volcano- Mountain Agung and actually enjoy our lunch there. It was so incredible, all the smoke with all those black marks on the mountain and forest, an after effect when volcano has been erupted and calmed. It was something.
After our lunch with an awesome view, we drove to Coffee Plantation where we had the most expensive coffee in the world “Luwak Coffee” which is actually a poop of an Indonesian Animal called Civet Cat, cleaned and roasted and is one of the prest and finest coffee in the world. It may sound gross but it had an authentic taste to it and we absolutely loved it. Had tried many other flavors of tea and coffee. As coffee lovers, this place was like Heaven to us.
This was a day of relaxation, it started off with a stone massage, then we went to this awesome cafe called Clear Cafe, they have the best salads in town, all organic and yummy to its core, then we went to other coffee shops. Indulged ourselves into the fine dining, live music and so much more. The best part of Ubud is that there are no TV’s, so you actually get to connect with people and friends or family, with whom-so-ever you are traveling. It is incredible.
We did miss out on more things like Monkey Temple, Rice Terrace Garden and so much more, but the time we had in Bali, we don’t regret a bit and since it felt like “Home”. we are definitely going back for more in future.
So this was Raving Rage Travels experience of Bali Travel Diary and hope you guys would love it enough to go visit this incredible place and experience this all 🙂
Until then enjoy the video!!
